What is an Oxbow Compass?
Oxbow Compasses are individuals associated with community, state, charity, care or social organisations who identify and propose the beneficiaries of Oxbow grants.
What is the process to award an Oxbow grant?
Oxbow grants can be awarded to individuals or organisations. Once a Compass has identified a potential grant beneficiary, Oxbow will seek to find one of its benefactors (called a “Channel” in Oxbow terminology) to co-sponsor the grant. To do this, the Channel will usually meet with the proposed beneficiary. The Channel may choose to do this without revealing his or her involvement in Oxbow. Once a Channel agrees to co-sponsor a grant proposal, it is passed to the Oxbow Executive Committee for final approval.
How do I become an Oxbow Compass?
To become an Oxbow Compass, an individual must be recommended by an existing Oxbow Compass or Channel.
